Detail
Self-Tapping Threaded Inserts
Material Options: Cold-forged steel (zinc-electroplated finish) / AISI 303 stainless steel (polished surface)
Design Features:
Tri-flute cutting geometry with tapered base for precision thread forming in low-shear materials (aluminum alloys, brass, die-cast metals, engineering plastics)
ISO 6H-compliant internal threads ensure standardized fastener compatibility
Reinforced wall structure distributes installation forces across three cutting edges, optimizing performance in machining-resistant substrates
Technical Advantages:
① Self-generating threads eliminate pre-tapping requirements
② Vibration-damping design prevents joint loosening under dynamic loads
③ Wear-resistant surface treatments extend service life in high-cycle applications
Ideal for: Automotive castings, plastic injection mold fixtures, marine hardware assemblies, and industrial equipment requiring durable metal-to-soft material interfaces.

How to Install Self-Tapping Threaded Inserts:
To install the self-tapping insert, begin by aligning its slotted or notched end downward. Attach the installation driver by threading its tip into the opposite end of the insert until the driver’s base sits flush with the insert. Next, position the insert vertically over the pre-drilled hole and rotate the driver clockwise to securely thread the insert into place. This method ensures precise alignment and optimal grip strength for durable fastening applications.
Upon achieving full rotation, stabilize the mountingnut using one wrench while rotating the tool's square drive counterclockwise with a second wrench to disengage the threaded connection. Once released, gently twist the tool handle to withdraw it fromthe socket assembly.
